Blender | How to Set Up Follow Path Without Offset Drift
- Blender
Prerequisites
Blender: v4.0.2
1|Switch to a top-down view (to make it easier to adjust the Bezier curve).
2|Use shift + s to move the cursor origin to the chosen object.

3|Add a curve.

4|In Edit Mode, straighten out the distorted left side to horizontal (r + z + -45).

5|Return to Object Mode, click Options in the top left, and enable Origins to adjust the origin’s position.

6|Move the origin to the left edge with g + x + -1 (so the Follow Path Offset value can be used within the 0 ~ -100 range).
7|Move the curve to the cursor’s origin, then move it toward the object you want to place along it.

8|Adjust the curve to taste in Edit Mode.
9|Choose the object to place on the curve and add Follow Path from Constraint.

10|Choose the path as the Target.

11|If the object’s Position isn’t 0 at this point, it will shift relative to the curve’s origin.
So make sure the object’s Position is set to all 0s.

12|Now, changing the Follow Path Offset value (0 ~ -100) moves the object along the curve.
